Overview

Data files are monitoring sessions stored anywhere on your hard disk (we recommend the Client Files folder). You can move the files around, open them, edit the time included for analysis, and change your preference parameters for variables affecting analysis. The analysis results will dynamically recalculate to reflect changes.

Database records are monitoring sessions you have explicitly associated with a client and added to the database, regardless of whether the session has been saved as a separate file on your hard disk or not. Records in the database do not appear as individual files on your hard disk and can not be altered as files can.

The Open, Import, Save, and Save As… commands apply to data files but not database records. The printing commands apply to both.
